Cumide Suspension is used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract (bronchitis), ear (otitis media), lungs (pneumonia), skin, brain and toxoplasmosis (infection caused by a bacteria called toxoplasma). It contains Trimethoprim and Sulfamethoxazole, which stop the growth of bacteria and kill them. Therefore, it helps treat bacterial infections. In some cases, you may experience specific common side effects, such as high levels of potassium in the blood, palpitations (abnormal heartbeats), thrush or candidiasis (fungal infection), headache, nausea, diarrhoea, and skin rashes. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Cumide Suspension

Cumide Suspension is a prescription medicine used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed for urinary tract infections, middle ear infections, flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, and traveler's diarrhea. It works specifically against bacteria and will not work for viral infections such as the common cold or flu.

To get the best results, you must take Cumide Suspension at evenly spaced intervals and complete the entire course of treatment, even if your symptoms disappear after a few days. You can take this medicine with or without food, but taking it with a meal or a glass of milk can help prevent stomach upset. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is highly recommended to help support your kidneys while taking this medication.
