About Cycolac Tablet
Cycolac Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in the urinary tract, intestine, lungs, eye infections, gum infections, and sexually transmitted infections (like gonorrhoea and syphilis). Bacterial infections are caused by the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body.
Cycolac Tablet contains Doxycycline and Lactic acid bacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins, thereby killing the bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria are microorganisms that help restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.
In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. Talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

It is recommended to complete the course of Cycolac Tablet even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even more severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).
Avoid taking iron supplements, calcium supplements, multivitamins, laxatives or antacids along with Cycolac Tablet. Maintain a gap of two hours between Cycolac Tablet and other medicines. However, consult your doctor before taking Cycolac Tablet with other medicines.
Cycolac Tablet contains doxycycline, which might make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen whilst going outside.
