About Daflon 500 mg Tablet

Daflon 500 mg Tablet  belongs to the group of medicines that fall under the anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory medications category. It is primarily used to treat varicose veins (twisted and enlarged veins), lymphedema (swelling of arms and legs), and acute and chronic haemorrhoids (swollen veins of the lower rectum and anus). Daflon 500 mg Tablet contains diosmin and hesperidin; both have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Collectively, it works by blocking the chemical messengers (prostaglandins, thromboxane A2) responsible for causing inflammation (swelling), improving blood flow to blocked veins, and reducing inflammation in the swelled-up veins. As a result, the pain and swelling are reduced when the blood flows adequately to the blocked veins. This helps us carry out our daily activities, restoring normal functions. 

Take Daflon 500 mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Daflon 500 mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, depending on your medical condition. You may sometimes experience diarrhoea, dyspepsia (indigestion), nausea, and vomiting.
