Diablin D 10/5 Tablet is used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. Type-2 diabetes mellitus (also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes) is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels are above normal due to insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, or both.

Diablin D 10/5 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin (sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors) and Linagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor). It works by reducing the sugar production by liver cells and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. Thus, Diablin D 10/5 Tablet helps control blood sugar levels.

Diablin D 10/5 Tablet may cause certain side effects such as diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, hypoglycaemia, nausea, and vomiting. These are not common for every patient. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or bother you. Take Diablin D 10/5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Diablin D 10/5 Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Diablin D 10/5 Tablet may include low blood sugar, stomach pains, feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting) and dizziness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction, Diablin D 10/5 Tablet can be taken with Gatifloxacin if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience symptoms such as nervousness, confusion, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, tremors, nausea, hunger, weakness, perspiration, palpitation, rapid heartbeat, increased urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. Maintaining blood glucose levels is advised. Do not stop using any medications without a doctor's advice.
How does the drug interact with Diablin D 10/5 Tablet:

Contact the doctor if you experience symptoms of pancreatitis such as abdominal tenderness, persistent nausea, vomiting, and upper abdominal pain, especially if it radiates to the back or worsens after eating. How does the drug interact with Diablin D 10/5 Tablet:
Co-administration of Diablin D 10/5 Tablet with Aliskiren may increase the risk of dehydration and low blood pressure.

If you are supposed to use Diablin D 10/5 Tablet and Aliskiren together, a doctor may adjust the dose and monitor you more frequently.
