About Divigel 0.1% Gel

Divigel 0.1% Gel is mainly used to prevent and treat hot flashes in women experiencing menopause. It is also used to treat vaginal itching, dryness, and burning sensations in women experiencing menopause.

Divigel 0.1% Gel contains estradiol, which works by replacing the oestrogen, which is normally produced by the ovaries, thereby providing relief from menopausal symptoms.

In some cases, Divigel 0.1% Gel may cause side effects such as headache, breast pain or tenderness, diarrhoea, gas and heartburn. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Apply Divigel 0.1% Gel as advised by the doctor. Follow the instructions provided in the label for usage. Your doctor will decide the medicine dose and dosage based on your health condition. Divigel 0.1% Gel is for external use only.

What if I have taken an overdose of Divigel 0.1% Gel

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness or pain, stomach pain, drowsiness, fatigue, and vaginal bleeding. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Seek emergency medical attention or call your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms or if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.

Drug Warnings

  • Do not use Divigel 0.1% Gel if you are allergic to any of its components.
  • Inform your doctor if you have/had a hysterectomy (surgery to remove the uterus), abnormal or unusual vaginal bleeding, heart attack, stroke, breast cancer, blood clots,
  • Also caution should be exercised if you have any history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol or fat, diabetes, heart disease, breast lumps, asthma, migraine headache, seizures, uterine fibroids (growths in the uterus that are non-cancerous), endometriosis, yellowing of the skin and eyes, liver or kidney problems, porphyria or smoking.
  • Divigel 0.1% Gel is for external (topical) use only.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, ears, nose and mouth. In case of accidental contact, wash with water immediately and inform your doctor.

  • Maintain a healthy weight by exercising regularly. Also, avoid exercising too much. Do it moderately.
