Dressil Ointment 20 gm contains Metronidazole, Povidone-Iodine and Sucralfate. Povidone iodine works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. Metronidazole inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death and ultimately killing the bacteria. Sucralfate helps form a protective barrier over the wound, promoting healing.
