About Ecocid-40 Tablet

Ecocid-40 Tablet is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive esophagitis due to acid-mediated GERD in children. It is also indicated in the treatment of stomach ulcers.

Ecocid-40 Tablet contains Esomeprazole, which inhibits gastric acid secretion by blocking the proton pump. Thus, it helps reduce the amount of acid in the stomach.

In some cases, Ecocid-40 Tablet may cause side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

• Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Ecocid-40 Tablet may be prescribed to children diagnosed with GERD, a condition where the stomach contents flow back into the esophagus, causing chronic symptoms.
• Peptic Ulcer Management: Ecocid-40 Tablet may be effective in managing peptic ulcers, helping to reduce the stomach acid secretion that can aggravate or contribute to ulcers.
• Healing Injuries to the Esophagus: Ecocid-40 Tablet can be used to support the healing of the esophagus in conditions caused by excessive stomach acid, improving symptoms and promoting recovery.

Directions for Use

• Ecocid-40 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before a meal, to improve its effectiveness. • It is usually taken in the morning or as advised by a doctor. • Give Ecocid-40 Tablet orally to your child by dissolving the contents of the sachet in a container with one teaspoonful (5ml) of water. Stir well, leave it for 2-3 minutes to thicken, and consume immediately. • Do not store the prepared mixture for later use.
