Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel 10 gm

Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel is an ophthalmic medication used to treat dry eyes. Dry eye is a condition in which the eyes do not produce enough tears or the tears evaporate too quickly, resulting in irritation, discomfort, and blurred vision.

Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel contains Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, an eye lubricant. It works by forming a transparent, moisturising film on the cornea, providing relief from dryness and irritation caused by reduced tear production.

Some people may experience temporary blurred vision, foreign body sensation, eye pain, redness, or irritation. These side effects usually go away on their own, but if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or have a history of severe eye conditions or infections, unless directed by your doctor. Temporary blurred vision may occur after use, so make sure your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.

• Lubrication of dry eyes:Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel provides effective lubrication to relieve dryness and irritation, mimicking natural tears. It offers comfort in conditions like dry eye syndrome, post-surgical dryness, or dryness caused by environmental factors.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and apply an advised amount of Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel into the pocket.
• Close your eyes for a minute to allow the gel to spread evenly.
• Avoid touching the tip of the dropper with your bare hands or bringing it closer to the eyelids while using Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel, as this may contaminate the tip and the medicine.

• Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel helps relieve dryness and irritation in the eyes caused by reduced tear production.
• It acts as an artificial tear to keep the eyes moist and lubricated.
• It provides soothing relief from discomfort due to environmental factors like wind, pollution, sunlight, air conditioning, or central heating.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor.
• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before application and wait 15 minutes before reinserting, as the preservative may discolour the lenses.
• Drive only if your vision is clear, as Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after applying.
• If you experience eye pain, headache, changes in vision, continued irritation or redness of the eye, avoid using Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel and consult a doctor.
• It is recommended to maintain a time gap of 5 to 15 minutes between using Extralube 0.3% Eye Gel and other eye medications.
