Fenticad Vaginal Capsule is used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast. It is used to treat various fungal or yeast infections, such as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vulvovaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina vulva. Symptoms may include irritation, discharge and intense itchiness of the vagina and the vulva tissues at the vaginal opening.

Fenticad Vaginal Capsule contains Fenticonazole, an antifungal that kills fungi by causing holes in their cell membranes. Thus, Fenticad Vaginal Capsule can inhibit fungal growth and reduce infection. It is active against a range of organisms, including dermatophyte pathogens, Malassezia furfur, and Candida albicans.

Fenticad Vaginal Capsule should be used as advised by your doctor has advised. It should be taken at the dose recommended by your doctor. Fenticad Vaginal Capsule may cause common side effects like application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness. The side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if these side effects persist, please consult your doctor immediately.

Fenticad Vaginal Capsule should be avoided, and inform your doctor if you are allergic to it. Tell your doctor if you are using medicines other than the Fenticad Vaginal Capsule. Before using the Fenticad Vaginal Capsule, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Do not use Fenticad Vaginal Capsule in more than prescribed doses or for prolonged periods, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not start treatment with Fenticad Vaginal Capsule during menstruation, as the medicine will be washed off with blood flow.

Fenticad Vaginal Capsule contains Fenticonazole, which kills the fungus/yeast and prevents its growth by inhibiting the formation of fungal cell membranes. It is used to treat various fungal or yeast infections, such as vulvovaginal candidiasis (a yeast infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva)). Fenticad Vaginal Capsule exhibit broad-spectrum antibacterial action that includes bacteria commonly associated with superinfected fungal skin and vaginal infections and antiparasitic action against the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis. Therefore, Fenticad Vaginal Capsule may be an ideal first-line monotherapy for vulvovaginal infection.

If you are known to be allergic to Fenticad Vaginal Capsule or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.  Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Fenticad Vaginal Capsule. Do not start treatment with Fenticad Vaginal Capsule during menstruation as the Fenticad Vaginal Capsule will be washed off with blood flow. The treatment should be finished before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicide or other vaginal products while using Fenticad Vaginal Capsule. This medicine may damage the latex of condoms and diaphragms; hence these types of contraception are also not effective during treatment with Fenticad Vaginal Capsule. Hence, alternative methods of contraception or abstinence from sexual intercourse are recommended.
