About Fludabine 10 Tablet

Fludabine 10 Tablet belongs to a group of anticancer medications called 'Antimetabolites', mainly used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) in patients who have not responded to other standard treatments. Leukaemia, also known as blood cancer, is a type of cancer that affects the blood cells or blood-forming tissues. It causes the bone marrow to produce excessive numbers of immature white blood cells, which reduces the body's ability to fight infections.

Fludabine 10 Tablet contains Fludarabine, which works by blocking certain key enzymes (ribonucleotide reductase and DNA polymerase) that are necessary for DNA synthesis in cancer cells. This action slows down or stops the growth of cancer cells in the body.

Take Fludabine 10 Tablet precisely as prescribed by your doctor. It is recommended to continue taking Fludabine 10 Tablet for the duration prescribed, based on your medical condition. You may experience common side effects such as fever, severe chills, mouth ulcers, sore throat, headache, shortness of breath, dizziness, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, swelling, numbness in the arms and legs, and unusual tiredness or weakness. Most of these side effects are generally mild and do not need medical attention. However, you are advised to consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.
