Formicort-FT Capsule is a combination medication primarily used to prevent and treat symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), such as shortness of breath or wheezing (whistling sound while breathing).

Formicort-FT Capsule contains Formoterol and Fluticasone propionate. Formoterol relaxes muscles and widens the airways of the lungs, making breathing easier. Fluticasone propionate prevents the release of certain chemicals that trigger inflammatory reactions.

Some people may experience headache, sore throat, sneezing, stuffy nose, hoarse voice, cough, low fever, chest tightness, a fungal infection in the mouth, sinus pain, nausea, stomach upset, dizziness, nervousness, vomiting, or irregular heartbeat. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

• Treats and Prevents COPD: In patients with COPD, Formicort-FT Capsule improves breathing capacity and helps prevent flare-ups (exacerbations) by combining long-acting bronchodilation with anti-inflammatory action.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Place the mouthpiece between your lips, press the inhaler, and breathe in slowly. Hold your breath for up to 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as advised by your doctor.
• Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using Formicort-FT Capsule to avoid fungal infections in the mouth and throat.

• Regular monitoring of potassium levels is recommended while taking Formicort-FT Capsule, as it may cause low potassium levels in the blood.
• If you have high blood pressure, diabetes, chest or lung infection, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), hypokalaemia (low potassium levels in the blood), glaucoma, cataracts, osteoporosis (weak bones), tuberculosis, heart, liver or adrenal gland problems, inform your doctor before taking Formicort-FT Capsule.
