FREWIL TABLET is used to treat moderate to severe acne related to androgen sensitivity, and/or hirsutism (excess hair growth)in women of reproductive age with PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome). It should be used only if your skin condition has not improved, even after topical or antibiotic treatment.

FREWIL TABLET contains Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone, which work by blocking the production of androgens (male hormones) in the ovaries. Thereby, it helps reduce acne and hair growth.

In some cases, FREWIL TABLET may cause nausea, abdominal pain, headache, weight gain and mood changes. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take FREWIL TABLET if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or breastfeeding. FREWIL TABLET inhibits ovulation and prevents conception; therefore, avoid using additional hormonal contraceptives whilst on treatment with FREWIL TABLET . • Inform the doctor if you have high blood pressure/uncontrolled blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraine, severe liver disease or liver tumours.
• Let your doctor know if you have depression, diabetes, inflammation of the pancreas, chloasma (brown patches on the skin), angioedema or hepatitis.
• FREWIL TABLET may increase the risk of having blood clots; seek medical attention if you notice symptoms of blood clots (migraine/long-lasting headache, changes in your eyesight, hearing or speech, severe pain in the abdomen, severe pain or swelling in the legs.
• Consult your doctor if you experience breathlessness, an unusual or sudden cough, severe pain and tightness in the chest that may radiate to the left arm, dizziness/fainting, or sudden weakness/numbness.
