About Gazyva 1000 mg Injection

Gazyva 1000 mg Injection is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia is a cancer that occurs in the bone marrow and blood. Gazyva 1000 mg Injection is used in combination with chlorambucil for the treatment of CLL, in combination with bendamustine for the treatment of follicular lymphoma in patients who relapsed after or are refractory to a rituximab-containing regimen and in patients with previously untreated stage II bulky, III or IV follicular lymphoma.

Gazyva 1000 mg Injection contains Obinutuzumab, which belongs to the class of monoclonal antibodies. It works by inhibiting the B-cell lymphocytes that are responsible for the multiplication of cancer cells.

Gazyva 1000 mg Injection may cause certain side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, fever, decreased platelet count, fatigue, cough, insomnia, injection site reactions and pain at the site of injection. It helps reduce the number of malignant B cells and delays disease progression.<br/>• Follicular lymphoma (FL): Gazyva 1000 mg Injection is used with bendamustine in patients whose FL has relapsed or not responded to a rituximab-containing regimen. It is also used as a first-line treatment for stage II bulky, III, or IV FL in combination with chemotherapy, followed by Gazyva 1000 mg Injection alone as maintenance therapy.<br/>• Immunotherapy support: Gazyva 1000 mg Injection is used as a targeted immunotherapy that binds to the CD20 protein on B cells, helping the immune system recognize and destroy cancerous cells while preserving the body’s ability to regenerate healthy blood cells.<br/>
