Gedopan I/V Injection

Gedopan I/V Injection is primarily used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive oesophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a rare condition in which the pancreas causes excessive acid production leading to peptic ulcers) and other conditions caused by excessive acid in the stomach. GERD is a condition that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the oesophagus. 

Gedopan I/V Injection contains Pantoprazole, which blocks the action of the gastric proton pump that is responsible for the production of acid in the stomach. This reduces the amount of acid produced, heals the ulcers, and prevents the formation of new ulcers.

Common side effects of Gedopan I/V Injection include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas, joint pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive or allergic to Gedopan I/V Injection or other medications. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Gedopan I/V Injection. The name Gedopan I/V Injection is not recommended for children under the age of five.

• Gedopan I/V Injection may also cause low Vitamin B12 levels on long term usage.
• Hence let your doctor know if you have Vitamin B12 deficiency before starting Gedopan I/V Injection.
• Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or a nursing mother before starting Gedopan I/V Injection.
• Gedopan I/V Injection may cause dizziness; hence drive or operate machinery only when you are alert.
• Avoid alcohol intake while using Gedopan I/V Injection since it can increase acid production in the stomach.
