Gestalim 200mg Tablet belongs to the class of medicines known as hormones used as hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women who have not had a hysterectomy (surgery to remove the uterus). Gestalim 200mg Tablet is also used to treat periods/menstruation in women of childbearing age who have not reached menopause but stopped having periods. It is also used to treat endometrial hyperplasia and female infertility.

Gestalim 200mg Tablet contains progesterone, a female hormone that helps regulate ovulation and menstruation in women. It induces secretory changes in the endometrium lining of the uterus, promotes breast development, relaxes the uterus, blocks the maturation and release of a follicle, and maintains pregnancy.

Gestalim 200mg Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not break or chew the tablet/capsule in the mouth. This medicine may cause certain side effects such as dizziness, headache, mood changes, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, and heartburn. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, consult your doctor immediately if these side effects persist or worsen.

Use of Gestalim 200mg Tablet with estrogens should be avoided as it may increase the chance of getting heart attacks, strokes, breast cancer, blood clots and dementia. Do not use Gestalim 200mg Tablet if you are allergic to peanuts, have unusual vaginal bleeding, have had any cancer (breast or uterus cancer), or undergoing estrogen plus progestin treatment. Tell your doctor before using Gestalim 200mg Tablet if you have had a heart attack, stroke, blood clot, liver problems, kidney problems, asthma (wheezing), epilepsy (seizures), diabetes, migraine, endometriosis, lupus, heart problems, thyroid or have high calcium levels in your blood. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to get pregnant. Be cautious while driving as Gestalim 200mg Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
