HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. It contains Telmisartan and Metoprolol, which relaxes the blood vessels and allows the blood to flow more smoothly. Thus, it lowers the blood pressure. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and slow heart rate. About HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET

HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath).

HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is a combination of Telmisartan and Metoprolol. This medicine relaxes the blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure.

Not everyone who takes HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET will experience these side effects. In some cases, you may experience common side effects, including headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time.

You can take HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET with or without food. It should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, crush, or break it. Your doctor will advise you on how often you should take your tablets based on your medical condition. It is always important to complete your treatment course for better results.

  • Treatment of Hypertension: HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is used to treat high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and reducing heart rate, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications. <br/>

Directions for Use

• HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor. • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication. Try to take it at the same time each day to help maintain steady levels of this medication in your blood. • Swallow HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET as a whole with a glass of water. • Do not crush, chew, or break it.

How HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET Works

HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is a combination of two high blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol. Together, HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET helps in reducing the raised blood pressure.

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. • Keep out of sight and reach of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET as it may cause overdose. If you suspect you have taken overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

  • Do not take HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET if you are allergic to telmisartan or metoprolol.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, aliskiren, quinidine, disopyramide, or other medications that lower blood pressure.
  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver diseases, biliary obstruction, heart problems, low blood pressure, diabetes, elevated potassium levels, blood circulation problems, asthma, COPD, metabolic acidosis, pheochromocytoma, slow heart rate, psoriasis, myasthenia gravis, or Prinzmetal angina.
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET .
  • HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.
  • HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET may cause dizziness and tiredness, so drive or operate heavy machinery only if you are alert. 
  • Prolonged intake of HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET can cause an altered potassium level. So, regular monitoring of potassium is advised.
  • It is always important to check the expiry of the medicine. Discard the medicine if it reaches the expiry date.

  • You are advised to consume low salt and low-fat diet while taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET .

HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry, however, if slow heart rate continues and you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.

HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET may alter potassium levels. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking food rich in potassium such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements.

Please do not stop taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET without consulting your doctor on your own as it may lead to rise in blood pressure. Continue taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET .

Orthostatic hypotension could be a side-effect of HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET . Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing. If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking, instead lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. People taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET are advised to regularly monitor their blood pressure levels to avoid unpleasant events.

You are advised to stop smoking and alcohol consumption. Consume low salt and low-fat diet and maintain a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Regular exercise is recommended while taking HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET as it helps to lower blood pressure and improves blood flow.

Store HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

No, HAPYTEL MT 25 TABLET is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the foetus or feeding baby.
