About Ibugesic Syrup

Ibugesic Syrup is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) used in relieving pain. Pain can be acute (temporary) or chronic (long-lasting). Acute pain is a short time pain caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or other organs. Chronic pain lasts for a long duration and is caused due to pathologies like nerve damage, etc. Ibugesic Syrup helps relieve symptoms of mild muscle pain, aches due to cold and dental pain in children. It is also used in reducing fever.

Ibugesic Syrup contains Ibuprofen, which is an anti-inflammatory medicine. It works by blocking the effect of a chemical known as prostaglandin, which is responsible for inducing pain and inflammation in our body.

 Ibugesic Syrup may cause certain side effects in your child, such as abdominal pain, headache, cold-like nose symptoms or diarrhea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your pediatrician. Ibugesic Syrup should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not give the child more than the prescribed dose of Ibugesic Syrup. Ibugesic Syrup can be given with or without food. What if I have taken an overdose of Ibugesic Syrup

Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Ibugesic Syrup may include agitation or confusion, blurred vision, chills, convulsions, damage to the kidneys (with little to no urine produced), diarrhoea, dizziness, heartburn, low blood pressure, nausea, ringing in the ears, rash, sweating, seizures, severe drowsiness or even coma, vomiting, ulcers and bleeding in the stomach, and weakness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Avoid giving Ibugesic Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to it.
