About Italy AX Syrup
Italy AX Syrup is a respiratory medication used to treat symptoms associated with chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), allergic rhinitis, and respiratory tract infections, such as cough, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. COPD is a group of lung diseases that mainly include emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes). Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or flakes of skin from certain animals.
Italy AX Syrup consists of two components: Levocetirizine (an antihistamine) and Ambroxol (a mucolytic agent). Levocetirizine is an antihistamine (anti-allergic) drug that reduces the effects of histamine, a chemical substance that causes allergies like a runny nose and skin rash. It is used to treat and relieve symptoms, such as watery eyes, runny nose, itchy eyes and nose, sneezing, itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives). Ambroxol is an 'expectorant' that promotes the secretion of sputum/cough. It is also a 'mucolytic agent' that makes sputum less viscous and makes breathing easier.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the course based on the severity of your disease. Do not stop taking Italy AX Syrup on your own until the doctor advises you to do so. Like every other medication, Italy AX Syrup also has common side effects, including upset stomach, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, and sleepiness. These side effects, if they occur, typically subside during the treatment. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to medicines. It is mandatory to inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, kidney diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, stomach ulcers, prostate enlargement, urinary retention, and diabetes before taking Italy AX Syrup. Please check with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol while taking Italy AX Syrup, since it can worsen the side effects like dizziness and sleepiness. Italy AX Syrup should be cautiously used in children when advised by the doctor.
