About Longhold T5 Tablet
Longhold T5 Tablet is a prescription medicine primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction, which is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection suitable for sexual activity, and the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (an enlarged prostate). It works by relaxing certain blood vessels and smooth muscles, improving blood flow where it is needed and helping relieve urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate.
Depending on your doctor's recommendation, you may take this medicine once daily at the same time each day or only when needed before sexual activity. You can take the tablet with or without food because meals do not significantly affect how the medicine is absorbed. Making healthy lifestyle changes, such as exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, and reducing stress, may also help improve treatment outcomes.
Most people tolerate this medicine well, but some may experience mild, temporary side effects such as headache, muscle aches, back pain, flushing, or an upset stomach. These side effects often improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, consult your doctor right away if you develop sudden vision changes, sudden hearing loss, chest pain, or an erection that lasts longer than four hours, as these require immediate medical attention.
Do not take this medicine if you use nitrate medicines for chest pain because combining them can cause a sudden and dangerous fall in blood pressure. Tell your doctor before starting treatment if you have heart disease, low blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, or if you have been advised to avoid sexual activity because of a serious heart condition.
This medicine may interact with alcohol, increasing the risk of dizziness or low blood pressure, and smoking may reduce its overall effectiveness. Tell your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, herbal products, and supplements you are taking before starting treatment.
Although tadalafil is mainly prescribed for men, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should only use it if specifically prescribed for another medical condition and under medical supervision. Older adults may require closer monitoring or dose adjustments depending on their overall health.
