It produces ulcers on the colon's lining, which may cause bleeding and discharge of pus and mucus.
Mesalenz 1.2g Tablet DR contains Mesalazine, which works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical substances, such as prostaglandins, that cause pain and swelling.
In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, nausea, vomiting or flatulence (gas). Directions for Use
• Take Mesalenz 1.2g Tablet DR with or without food as advised by your doctor. • It is advised to take Mesalenz 1.2g Tablet DR once daily; however, follow your doctor's recommendation regarding the dosage and duration. • Check the label for directions and use as advised by the doctor. Empty the contents directly on the tongue and drink some water or orange juice.
