About Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi

Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines used for the short-term treatment of seizure clusters. Seizure clusters are episodes of elevated seizure activity, defined as two or more seizures occurring within 24 hours. They are upsetting situations that can make you anxious, frustrated, or helpless.

Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi contains Midazolam which works by increasing GABA activity (a chemical messenger in the brain). Thus, Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi suppresses the excessive and abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain and controls fits.

Use Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi as prescribed and for the duration as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Sometimes, it may cause side effects such as headache, drowsiness, runny nose, throat irritation, and nasal discomfort. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

• Treatment of Seizure Clusters: Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi helps manage acute repetitive seizures, which involve multiple seizures within a short period and works by increasing GABA activity, a brain chemical that calms nerve cells and controls seizures.
• Pre-Surgical Sedation: Midasiz Nasal Spray 25 mdi is administered before medical procedures to induce drowsiness and reduce discomfort and helps patients remain calm without the need for general anesthesia.

Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and duration. • Blow your nose to clear the nostrils before use. Insert the nozzle into one nostril while closing the other nostril. Spray the medicine while breathing in. Repeat for the other nostril if required. • Shake the nasal spray well before each use.
