MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines called aminoglycosides used to treat bacterial infections. Bacterial infection can be defined as the proliferation/multiplication of harmful strains of bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.
MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION works by inhibiting the production of bacterial proteins which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, leads to the death of the bacterial cell. Thus, MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION helps treat bacterial infections.
MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as irritation at the site of application, skin rash, nausea, and vomiting. Do not take MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION if you are allergic to any of the components, antibiotics related to aminoglycosides, sulphites, if you are suffering from a disorder called myasthenia gravis (severe weakness of muscles in the body), and dehydration. Talk to your doctor before taking MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION if you have any kidney problems, or hearing problems such as tinnitus (buzzing or ringing in the ears). You are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION as it may cause dizziness. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking MIKASTAR 100MG INJECTION.
