About Mitcol-Plus Injection
Mitcol-Plus Injection is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies. Nutrient deficiency can lead to many health problems, such as a weakened immune system, indigestion, skin problems, heart problems, eye problems, and defective bone growth.
Mitcol-Plus Injection contains Mecobalamin, Nicotinamide, and Pyridoxine. Mecobalamin regulates body functions like cell growth, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B that provides vital nutrients. Pyridoxine is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters.

Mitcol-Plus Injection belongs to the class of multivitamins primarily used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies, including Vitamin B12 deficiency and Vitamin B6 deficiency.
Mitcol-Plus Injection is a vitamin supplement and consists of Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), and Nicotinamide. When you lack these vitamins, which cannot be recovered even with the food sources, Mitcol-Plus Injection helps normalise these deficient levels.
Vitamin B6 deficiency occurs when your body lacks adequate Pyridoxine levels. You can overcome this deficiency by including food sources rich in Pyridoxine, like milk, eggs, beef, pork, chicken or turkey, fish, peanuts, soya beans, wheat germ, oats, and bananas. If your Vitamin B6 levels are still low, your doctor may prescribe supplements.
Vitamin B12 deficiency occurs when you don't have enough Methylcobalamin or Mecobalamin levels in your body. You can include natural Vitamin B12 sources such as eggs, beef, liver, chicken, trout, salmon, tuna fish, clams, fortified breakfast cereal, low-fat milk, yoghurt, and cheese in your diet to treat this deficiency. If you still have low levels of B12, please consult your doctor about B12 supplements.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride in this medicine may interfere with laboratory tests, such as urine tests for urobilinogen. Please make sure your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you take Mitcol-Plus Injection before undergoing any blood and urine examinations.
Mitcol-Plus Injection is administered by a healthcare professional in a medical setting, usually at a hospital. So, it is not intended for self-administration.
The possible side effects of the Mitcol-Plus Injection may include stomach upset, loss of hunger, dizziness, constipation, and pain at the injection site. However, these symptoms vanish as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms become worse, please consult a doctor for relief.
While taking Mitcol-Plus Injection, you can proceed with other medications if it is advised by the doctor. Certain medications, such as antibiotics, anticonvulsants, chemotherapy drugs, proton pump inhibitors, and some antidiabetic drugs, can interact with Mitcol-Plus Injection and lead to negative complications. To avoid this, inform about all ongoing medications to your doctor. The doctor can provide guidance on potential interactions and adjust your treatment accordingly.
Mitcol-Plus Injection should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if needed and under a doctor's guidance. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before taking Mitcol-Plus Injection. Your doctor will discuss the benefits and risks, helping you make an informed decision for you and your baby.
