About Mox P 500 Tablet

Mox P 500 Tablet belongs to the class of medicines called 'penicillin antibiotics' with probiotics. It treats various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Besides this, Mox P 500 Tablet prevents antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, dysentery (water loss), and infectious diarrhoea. Mox P 500 Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 

Mox P 500 Tablet contains Amoxycillin (antibiotic) and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Amoxycillin is bactericidal (kills bacteria) that works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (protective cell wall) necessary for their survival, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut (digestive tract) destroyed due to the use of antibiotics.

Take Mox P 500 Tablet as prescribed. The dose and duration of Mox P 500 Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects like skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

If you miss a dose of Mox P 500 Tablet , take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
