The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn. 
 
Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and oxetacaine. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide belong to a group of antacids, whereas oxetacaine belongs to local anaesthetics. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby providing relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
 
You are advised to take Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and drowsiness in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
 
Inform your doctor before taking Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems, and taking antibiotics such as doxycycline, oxytetracycline, levofloxacin, or ciprofloxacin. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel as it could lead to increased acidity. Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel may cause dizziness and drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.

Take Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel with or without food. Take the required dose/quantity using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the bottle well before each use.

Inform your doctor before taking Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems, a low-phosphate diet or if you are taking antibiotics such as doxycycline, oxytetracycline, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin. Avoid taking foods and drinks containing citrates with Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel as it might lead to increased serum levels of aluminium which can be harmful. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Mucaine American Ice Cream Soda Oral Gel as it could lead to increased acidity.
