About N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml
N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channel blockers indicated as prophylaxis and treatment of ischaemic neurological deficits caused by narrowing of blood vessels following subarachnoid haemorrhage of aneurysmal origin. Subarachnoid haemorrhage is the bleeding around the brain which is usually the result of bleeding from an aneurysm (a weakened area in a blood vessel).
N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml contains ‘Nimodipine’ that relaxes the smooth muscles of the small blood vessels in the brain, thereby allowing narrowed blood vessels to open up. This helps in increasing blood flow & circulation, reduces blood pressure, and lowers the risk of damage caused by insufficient blood flow to the brain after bleeding.
In some cases, N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml may cause side effects such as low blood pressure, vasodilation, nausea, constipation, flatulence, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant. Avoid breastfeeding while on treatment with N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml. Drive or operate machinery only if you are alert as N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml may cause dizziness. N-Dipine 10 mg Infusion 50 ml is not recommended for children below 18 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.
