Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus, Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm as prescribed by your doctor. • Corneal Ulcers: Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm is used in combination with other antibiotics to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.
• Eye Injuries or Foreign Body Removal: Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm is used to prevent infection in case of eye injury or after removal of foreign body from the eye.

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
