Nefdoxim Dry Syrup belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections occur when harmful bacteria multiply inside or on the body. Nefdoxim Dry Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Nefdoxim Dry Syrup contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Nefdoxim Dry Syrup works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Nefdoxim Dry Syrup kills bacteria and helps treat bacterial infections.

In some cases, Nefdoxim Dry Syrup may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain.
