About Nexafol Tablet
Nexafol Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, skin disorders, digestive issues, and dementia (memory loss).
Nexafol Tablet contains L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate, and Methylcobalamin. L-Methylfolate helps in producing new blood cells and prevents low folate levels. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is a water-soluble vitamin involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.
Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Nexafol Tablet may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, please consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Let your doctor know if you use any other medicines or herbal products before starting Nexafol Tablet . If you are allergic to any of the components, please inform your doctor. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother, please consult your doctor before taking Nexafol Tablet . Nexafol Tablet should not be given to children unless advised by a doctor. It is not known if alcohol interacts with Nexafol Tablet , so consult a doctor if you have any concerns.

Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6) is involved in protein, fat, carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and maintains normal homocysteine (an amino acid in the blood) levels. Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It may also help treat alcoholic, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage) and pernicious anaemia. Together, Nexafol Tablet helps treat nutritional deficiencies.

Have a query?
Nexafol Tablet belongs to the class of 'multivitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies.
Nexafol Tablet is a vitamin supplement and consists of L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6), and Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12). When you lack these vitamins in your body, which cannot be recovered even with the food sources, Nexafol Tablet helps replenish these deficient levels. Collectively, Nexafol Tablet treats nutritional deficiencies.
Pyridoxal-5-phosphate in Nexafol Tablet may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen. Please make sure your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you take Nexafol Tablet before undergoing blood and urine examinations.
Avoid taking more than one multivitamin product concomitantly unless advised by the doctor. Taking similar nutritional supplements simultaneously can lead to a vitamin overdose or other serious side effects.
Antacids may interfere with the absorption of Nexafol Tablet . Hence, taking Nexafol Tablet two hours before or four hours after taking antacids is advised.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosage.
You can take Nexafol Tablet with or without food, at a regular time daily for good memory aid. Adhere strictly to your doctor's suggested dosage and treatment duration for maximum efficacy.
Yes, you can take other medications along with Nexafol Tablet , but it's important to inform your doctor about all the medications you're currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. This helps to avoid potential interactions with other drugs. Some medications, which are used to treat tuberculosis, high blood pressure, and certain antibiotics, may interact with this supplement.
Do not take Nexafol Tablet if you're allergic to its ingredients, or if you have milk, soy, or carmine intolerance/allergies. If pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Nexafol Tablet . Always inform your healthcare provider about allergies and health conditions for safe usage.
Nexafol Tablet should only be used during pregnancy under the doctor's guidance. Inform your doctor if you're pregnant or planning to conceive before taking Nexafol Tablet . Its use requires careful consideration, as the potential benefits must outweigh the potential risks. Always follow your doctor's suggestion for safe and effective use.
