Ons Injection 2 ml

Ons Injection 2 ml is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by various medical conditions. The detailed uses of Ons Injection 2 ml are as follows:

• Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) : Ons Injection 2 ml is used in adults and children to prevent and manage nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.
• Post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV): Ons Injection 2 ml helps prevent and treat nausea and vomiting that may occur after surgery.
• Radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: In adults receiving radiation treatment for cancer, Ons Injection 2 ml is used to reduce or prevent nausea and vomiting associated with therapy.

• Ons Injection 2 ml contains Ondansetron that blocks the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain.
• Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in adults and children, as well as after surgery.
• Additionally, Ons Injection 2 ml can be used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by radiotherapy for cancer in adults.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.

• Do not self-administer.

• Eat a healthy and low-fat diet, especially in small portions, as it will be easy to digest. Avoid eating overly sweet food and include more salty food, especially if you have been vomiting.
• Drink any other liquid at least 30 minutes after eating food.
• If the smell of food makes you feel sick (vomit), do not cook food as it may worsen your condition. Let someone else do the cooking or use prepared food from the freezer.

• If you are allergic to Ondansetron, Palanosetron, Granisetron, or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• Ons Injection 2 ml should be given to children only in doses as advised by the doctor based on the child’s body weight or body surface area.
• Ons Injection 2 ml should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding after consultation with a doctor.
• If you have problems with levels of sodium, magnesium, and potassium salts in your blood, inform your doctor before taking Ons Injection 2 ml.
