Pazopan Injection

Pazopan Injection is primarily used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive oesophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a rare condition in which the pancreas causes excessive acid production leading to peptic ulcers) and other conditions caused by excessive acid in the stomach. GERD is a condition that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the oesophagus. 

Pazopan Injection contains Pantoprazole, which blocks the action of the gastric proton pump that is responsible for the production of acid in the stomach. This reduces the amount of acid produced, heals the ulcers, and prevents the formation of new ulcers.

Common side effects of Pazopan Injection include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas, joint pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive or allergic to Pazopan Injection or other medications. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Pazopan Injection. The name Pazopan Injection is not recommended for children under the age of five.

• Reflux oesophagitis: Pazopan Injection treats the inflammation and damage caused by acid reflux in the esophagus.
• Erosive esophagitis: Pazopan Injection aids in healing the esophageal lining damaged due to excessive stomach acid.
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Pazopan Injection regulates the excessive acid production associated with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

• Long term treatment with Pazopan Injection may increase the risk of fractures of the hip, spine, and wrist.
• Hence, inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis and bone-related problems.
• Pazopan Injection may also cause low Vitamin B12 levels on long term usage.
• Hence let your doctor know if you have Vitamin B12 deficiency before starting Pazopan Injection.
• Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or a nursing mother before starting Pazopan Injection.
• Pazopan Injection may cause dizziness; hence drive or operate machinery only when you are alert.
• Avoid alcohol intake while using Pazopan Injection since it can increase acid production in the stomach.
• Pazopan Injection is recommended for children above five years of age only when prescribed by a doctor.
