Pdfact Gel belongs to the platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) class used to treat diabetic foot ulcers in people with good blood flow in the legs and feet. A diabetic foot ulcer is a common complication of diab­etes. Ulcers are formed due to skin tissue breakdown and exposure to underneath layers. Diabetic foot ulcers commonly develop under the big toes and balls of the feet. Also, they can affect the feet down to the bones.

Pdfact Gel contains Recombinant Human Platelet-Derived Growth Factor BB (Becaplermin), which stimulates the growth of cells involved in wound healing. Therefore, it helps treat ulcers of the legs or foot in people with diabetes.

Pdfact Gel is only for external use. Use Pdfact Gel as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Pdfact Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience burning at the application site and red skin rash. Most of these side effects of Pdfact Gel do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

• Diabetic Foot Ulcers: Pdfact Gel is used for treating lower extremity diabetic neuropathic ulcers that extend into subcutaneous tissue and have adequate blood supply.
• Granulation Tissue Formation: Pdfact Gel stimulates fibroblast activity to build new tissue and blood vessels.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Take a small amount of Pdfact Gel onto a firm, clean, non-absorbable surface like wax paper. Then spread it evenly as a thin layer over the surface of the foot ulcer with the help of a clean cotton swab, tongue depressor, or any other application aid.
• Cover the treated area with a gauze dressing moistened with saline.
