Pelpod Oral Drop is used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, including infections of the lungs, throat, tonsils, and sinus cavities in children. It contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, it kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

About Pelpod Oral Drop

Pelpod Oral Drop belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Pelpod Oral Drop does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Pelpod Oral Drop contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Pelpod Oral Drop works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Pelpod Oral Drop kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

In some cases, Pelpod Oral Drop may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. It helps reduce inflammation, pain, and fever by eliminating the causative bacteria. • Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Pelpod Oral Drop treats uncomplicated UTIs by eradicating bacteria in the urinary tract, easing symptoms like painful urination, urgency, and lower abdominal discomfort. • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Pelpod Oral Drop is used to manage mild to moderate skin infections such as cellulitis or impetigo. How Pelpod Oral Drop Works

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.• Keep Pelpod Oral Drop out of reach and sight of children.• Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ÂºC to 25ÂºC or below 30ÂºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of Pelpod Oral Drop

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Pelpod Oral Drop may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Do not give Pelpod Oral Drop to the child if they are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if your child is allergic to penicillin antibiotics or has kidney problems.
