About Predina Eye Drop

Predina Eye Drop belongs to the class of corticosteroid medication or ophthalmic anti-infectives. It is used to relieve eye irritation, redness, burning, and swelling caused by chemicals, radiation, heat, infection, allergies, or foreign substances in the eye. Besides this, it is sometimes used following eye surgery.

Predina Eye Drop contains prednisolone, a corticosteroid medicine. It works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling.

Use Predina Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Predina Eye Drop are application site burning or stinging sensation, redness and temporary blurred vision. Most of these side effects resolve gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, you should consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Predina Eye Drop is for ophthalmic use only. It should not be injected or consumed orally. Thus, relieves redness, swelling, irritation, and discomfort.<br/>• Post-Surgical Inflammation: Predina Eye Drop may also be used to reduce post-operative inflammation after eye surgeries.<br/>• Allergic Conjunctivitis: Predina Eye Drop can be used in patients with allergic conjunctivitis to relieve eye inflammation and irritation caused by allergens such as dust, pollen, or pet dander.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Predina Eye Drop is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
  • If the suspension becomes cloudy or dark brown, it should be discarded.
