About Predmet 1% Eye Drops

Predmet 1% Eye Drops belongs to the class of corticosteroid medication or ophthalmic anti-infectives. It is used to relieve eye irritation, redness, burning, and swelling caused by chemicals, radiation, heat, infection, allergies, or foreign substances in the eye. Besides this, it is sometimes used following eye surgery.

Predmet 1% Eye Drops contains prednisolone, a corticosteroid medicine. It works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling.

Use Predmet 1% Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Predmet 1% Eye Drops are application site burning or stinging sensation, redness and temporary blurred vision. Most of these side effects resolve gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, you should consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

• Post-Surgical Inflammation: Predmet 1% Eye Drops may also be used to reduce post-operative inflammation after eye surgeries.
• Allergic Conjunctivitis: Predmet 1% Eye Drops can be used in patients with allergic conjunctivitis to relieve eye inflammation and irritation caused by allergens such as dust, pollen, or pet dander.

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Predmet 1% Eye Drops is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
