Repatha SureClick Injection is used in the treatment of Hyperlipidemia. The detailed uses of Repatha SureClick Injection are as follows:

• Lower LDL cholesterol in familial hypercholesterolemia: Repatha SureClick Injection is used for children aged 10 and older and adults with heterozygous or homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. It helps reduce elevated LDL-C levels when diet and other lipid-lowering therapies are not enough.
• Reduce risk of major cardiovascular events: Repatha SureClick Injection is used in adults with established cardiovascular disease to lower the chances of heart attack, stroke, and coronary revascularization procedures.
• Act as an adjunct to statins or other lipid-lowering therapies: Repatha SureClick Injection enhances the cholesterol-lowering effect of statins or ezetimibe, especially in patients who need additional LDL-C reduction.
• Target PCSK9 to improve cholesterol clearance: Repatha SureClick Injection works by inhibiting PCSK9, a protein that reduces the liver’s ability to remove LDL cholesterol. Blocking PCSK9 increases LDL receptor activity, allowing more cholesterol to be cleared from the bloodstream.

Repatha SureClick Injection contains Evolocumab, which belongs to the class of proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitor antibody. This medicine works by binding to the PCSK9 antibody and inhibits the PCSK9 and LDL receptor binding process. This helps decrease the LDL (low-density lipoprotein) levels in the blood. It is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, MI, stroke and other cardiovascular conditions.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the dosage and duration of treatment.
• Check the label for directions and use it as advised by the doctor. Repatha SureClick Injection should be injected subcutaneously (under the skin) on your thigh, stomach, or upper arm.
• Rotate the injection site each time.
