Safpod-CV Tablet 10's

Safpod-CV Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat various bacterial infections such as pharyngitis/tonsillitis (throat infections), otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), community-acquired pneumonia, gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), anorectal infections in women, skin, and urinary tract infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. 

Safpod-CV Tablet 10's is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Cefpodoxime proxetil (cephalosporin antibiotic) and Clavulanic acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor). Cefpodoxime proxetil works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of Cefpodoxime proxetil against the bacteria. Together, Safpod-CV Tablet 10's helps to treat bacterial infections.

Take Safpod-CV Tablet 10's as prescribed by the doctor. The dose and duration of Safpod-CV Tablet 10's can vary depending upon your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Before starting Safpod-CV Tablet 10's, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy to any antibiotic, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking Safpod-CV Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy. Avoid taking Safpod-CV Tablet 10's if you are breastfeeding as Safpod-CV Tablet 10's may pass into breast milk. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Safpod-CV Tablet 10's to prevent unpleasant side effects. Safpod-CV Tablet 10's may cause dizziness, so drive with caution.

Safpod-CV Tablet 10's causes dizziness, so drive with caution.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Safpod-CV Tablet 10's may have interaction with anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin), anti-gout (e.g. probenecid), diuretics (e.g. furosemide), and vitamin supplements (e.g. calcium, vitamin D).

Drug-Food Interactions: No interactions found/established.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Safpod-CV Tablet 10's may interact with conditions such as colitis (inflammation in the colon's lining), seizures, dialysis, and kidney or liver dysfunction.

• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice, as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid the consumption of alcohol to treat your condition effectively.
• Avoid the usage of tobacco.
• Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which helps with indigestion. Therefore, you should take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
