Samfung 100 Injection is used in the treatment of Invasive candidiasis. The detailed uses of Samfung 100 Injection are as follows:

• Candidemia: Samfung 100 Injection helps to treat Candidemia, bloodstream infections caused by Candida.
• Invasive Candidiasis: Samfung 100 Injection helps in the treatment of infections in internal organs such as the liver, spleen, or kidneys.
• Esophageal Candidiasis: Samfung 100 Injection helps in treating fungal infection of the esophagus (in adults).
• Intra-abdominal Candida Infections: Samfung 100 Injection is used to treat infections such as abscesses or peritonitis.

Samfung 100 Injection contains Anidulafungin, an antifungal drug which prevents the normal development of fungal cell walls by making them fragile or unable to grow. Thus, Samfung 100 Injection kills fungus and helps to treat fungal infections of blood or other internal organs.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Samfung 100 Injection will be administered by a nurse or doctor.
• Do not self-administer.

• Keep your hands clean.
• Look for signs of early infection, such as pain or redness where a catheter or IV enters your body.
• Be sure that anyone who touches you washes their hands first, including healthcare workers, as washing hands can prevent the spread of germs.

If you are allergic to Anidulafungin, caspofungin or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Samfung 100 Injection is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are of childbearing age, effective contraception should be used. If you are a nursing mother, take your doctor’s advice before receiving Samfung 100 Injection. If you develop liver problems during your treatment with Samfung 100 Injection, your doctor may monitor you more closely for liver function.
