Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of High cholesterol and prevention of heart attack and stroke. The detailed uses of Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet are as follows:

• High Cholesterol Management: Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet helps lower elevated levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides in the blood while increasing HDL (good cholesterol). It combines two mechanisms reducing cholesterol absorption in the intestines and limiting cholesterol production in the liver.
• Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet is used for patients with inherited conditions like homozygous or heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, where cholesterol levels are abnormally high due to genetic factors. It helps reduce cardiovascular risk in these high-risk individuals.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet supports long-term heart health by lowering cholesterol levels, which in turn reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other complications related to atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease.

Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet contains Ezetimibe and Simvastatin, used to lower the levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides (type of fat) and increase good cholesterol levels. This reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. Ezetimibe works by reducing the cholesterol absorbed in the digestive tract. Simvastatin works by inhibiting the production of cholesterol your body makes by itself. Also, it reduces the risk of stroke or heart attack by reducing the excess cholesterol deposition in the major blood vessels of the brain and heart. Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet is used for patients whose cholesterol levels are not controlled by diet and exercise alone. 

• Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow Simlo EZ 10 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush or break it.

• Maintain a low-fat diet. Limit your intake of dairy products made with whole milk and red meat. Prefer skim milk and fat-free or low-fat dairy products.
• Eat a healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, whole grains, nuts and cut-down beverages, and processed and sugary foods.
• Do regular exercises such as swimming, cycling, walking, or dancing and focus on losing weight, as obesity also raises bad cholesterol and lowers good cholesterol.

You are likely to be at risk of developing diabetes if you have high levels of sugars and fats in the blood, high blood pressure and are overweight.
