Sitanorm-EM 1000 Tablet 10's is used to manage type 2 diabetes, a condition in which blood sugar levels become too high. Type 2 diabetes is a long-term condition that can affect daily life, but with proper management, including a healthy diet, regular exercise, medication, and routine check-ups, blood sugar can be effectively controlled and the risk of complications reduced.
Sitanorm-EM 1000 Tablet 10's contains three active ingredients: Empagliflozin, Metformin, and Sitagliptin. Together, they help lower blood sugar through complementary actions. Empagliflozin works on the kidneys to remove excess sugar through urine. Metformin reduces sugar production in the liver and improves the body’s use of insulin. Sitagliptin boosts natural hormones (incretins) that stimulate insulin release after meals and limit excess sugar release from the liver. By combining these effects, Sitanorm-EM 1000 Tablet 10's can provide more effective blood sugar control than a single medicine alone.
Sitanorm-EM 1000 Tablet 10's is taken by mouth with meals as advised by your doctor, usually once or twice daily. The dose depends on your medical condition and response to treatment. Taking it at the same time each day helps maintain steady blood sugar control. Some people may experience mild side effects, such as frequent urination, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach upset, or skin rash. These are generally temporary, but if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Before starting Sitanorm-EM 1000 Tablet 10's, inform your doctor about all medical conditions, medications, and any known allergies, including if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medicine is not recommended for children, as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Alcohol should be avoided, and caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as fluctuations in blood sugar may affect alertness.
