Sporidex 125mg Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in children. It contains Cephalexin, an antibiotic belonging to the first-generation cephalosporin class of drugs. It works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. Thus, it causes the death of the bacterial cell and prevents the growth of bacterial infections. This medication may cause common side effects, such as indigestion, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. Before giving this medicine to your child, inform your doctor if they are allergic to any of its components, and disclose all the medications your child is taking as well as any pre-existing medical conditions.

About Sporidex 125mg Syrup

Sporidex 125mg Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of bacterial infections in children. It is used in treating mild to moderate infections of the nose, ears, skin, throat, urinary tract, and lungs (such as pneumonia and bronchitis) caused by bacteria. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and cause illness. Sporidex 125mg Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Sporidex 125mg Syrup contains Cephalexin, an antibiotic belonging to the first-generation cephalosporin class of drugs. It works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. This causes damage to the bacterial cell wall and eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infections.

Sporidex 125mg Syrup should be used as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of Sporidex 125mg Syrup to the child. Generally, the dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician depending upon the type and severity of the infection. Sporidex 125mg Syrup may cause certain side effects in your child, such as indigestion, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician.

Sporidex 125mg Syrup is intended for pediatric use only. Avoid giving Sporidex 125mg Syrup to your child if they are allergic to any of its components or other antibiotics. Before administration, inform your doctor if your child has any pre-existing liver or kidney disease. Also, keep your doctor informed about your child’s current medications and medical history to rule out any side effects/interactions.
