Sporidex 125mg Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of bacterial infections in children. It is used in treating mild to moderate infections of the nose, ears, skin, throat, urinary tract, and lungs (such as pneumonia and bronchitis) caused by bacteria. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and cause illness. Sporidex 125mg Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Sporidex 125mg Syrup contains Cephalexin, an antibiotic belonging to the first-generation cephalosporin class of drugs. The detailed uses of Sporidex 125mg Syrup are as follows:<br/> • Respiratory Tract Infections: Sporidex 125mg Syrup is used in the treatment of pharyngitis (sore throat), tonsillitis (tonsil inflammation), bronchitis (airway inflammation), and pneumonia (lung infection) in children.<br/> • Ear Infections: Sporidex 125mg Syrup is effective in treating middle ear infections (otitis media) in children.<br/> • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Sporidex 125mg Syrup is commonly indicated for treating bacterial skin infections in children, such as cellulitis (affects the middle skin layers/dermis and underlying tissues), impetigo (a highly contagious skin infection that affects the outer skin layers), and infected wounds or surgical incisions.<br/> • Bone Infections: In certain cases, Sporidex 125mg Syrup is used to treat mild bone infections caused by bacteria in children.<br/> • Urinary Tract Infections: Sporidex 125mg Syrup helps manage bacterial infections of the urinary system, including cystitis (bladder inflammation) and pyelonephritis (kidney infection), in children.<br/> • Dental Infections: Sporidex 125mg Syrup may be used to treat dental abscesses (infection at the tooth root or in the gums), gum infections (gingivitis or periodontitis), and, in some cases, to control infection after dental procedures when prescribed by a dentist or paediatrician.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Sporidex 125mg Syrup can be administered with or without food as advised by the doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Check the label for directions before use. Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder. Add water provided with this pack up to the mark on the bottle and shake well to form a solution.
  • Administer the prescribed dose to your child using the measuring cup provided with the pack.
