SYSCAN INFUSION

SYSCAN INFUSION is used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast. A fungal infection is caused when a fungus invades and affects any part of the body, including the mouth, throat, oesophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and blood.

SYSCAN INFUSION contains Fluconazole. It works by stopping an enzyme in fungi or yeast that is needed to make their cell membrane. This either kills the fungi or yeast or stops them from growing.

SYSCAN INFUSION may cause common side effects like headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach upset, dizziness, stomach pain, and altered food tastes. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in SYSCAN INFUSION. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems before starting SYSCAN INFUSION. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting SYSCAN INFUSION.

SYSCAN INFUSION is used in the treatment of fungal infections. The detailed uses of SYSCAN INFUSION are as follows:

• Oropharyngeal candidiasis: SYSCAN INFUSION treats fungal infections of the mouth and throat caused by Candida species.
• Esophageal candidiasis: SYSCAN INFUSION treats fungal infections in the esophagus, reducing pain and difficulty in swallowing.
• Systemic Candida infections: SYSCAN INFUSION effectively treats severe infections such as candidemia, disseminated candidiasis, Candida pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and peritonitis.
• Cryptococcal meningitis: SYSCAN INFUSION is used to manage meningitis caused by Cryptococcus neoformans, especially in immunocompromised patients such as those with AIDS.
• Prophylaxis: SYSCAN INFUSION is used to prevent candidiasis in bone marrow transplant patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

• Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or other side effects that may affect your mental ability to drive.
• Avoid alcohol consumption along with SYSCAN INFUSION to avoid undesirable effects.
