Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. Hypertension is a condition in which the force of blood against the artery walls is very high.

Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet contains Chlorthalidone, Cilnidipine, and Telmisartan, which work by relaxing and widening the blood vessels and facilitating the removal of excess water.

In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, stomach upset, or tiredness. Most of these side effects of Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Cilnidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that work by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels, leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.

If you are supposed to use these medicines together, you are advised to contact your doctor so that the dose may be adjusted to be used safely.

Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet may increase potassium levels in the blood. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid the intake of potassium supplements and foods that are rich in potassium, such as bananas, sweet potatoes, nuts, and noni juice, as it may result in hyperkalaemia (high levels of potassium in the blood) and cause severe adverse effects such as irregular heartbeat, muscle paralysis, and kidney failure.

Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet may cause dizziness in some patients. Therefore, if you feel dizzy after taking Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery.

You are not recommended to stop taking Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you find symptomatic relief, as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, take Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, and if you experience any difficulty while using Teltix Trio 40mg/10mg/12.5mg Tablet, please consult your doctor.
