Threpclav Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is used to treat infections of the skin, throat, ear, and lungs caused by bacteria.
Threpclav Dry Syrup contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin kills infection-causing bacteria by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxycillin.
Threpclav Dry Syrup may cause side effects such as indigestion, diarrhoea, nausea, and stomach pain. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician.
Avoid giving Threpclav Dry Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to antibiotics. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Threpclav Dry Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in children.
Threpclav Dry Syrup contains amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) and causing damage to the bacterial cell wall. This eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell and thus prevents the growth of bacterial infections. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxycillin.
No, Threpclav Dry Syrup is not used to treat viral infections. It is an antibiotic used only to treat bacterial infections.
No. As Threpclav Dry Syrup is an antibiotic, it is advised to complete your child's entire course of treatment as prescribed. If the treatment is stopped abruptly, drug resistance may develop.
