About Tofatas Ointment

Tofatas Ointment belongs to a class of medicines called Janus kinase inhibitors, primarily used to treat alopecia areata (hair loss). Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any hair-bearing site on the body. Tofatas Ointment stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Tofatas Ointment is also used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

Tofatas Ointment contains Tofacitinib, which belongs to the class of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors. It affects hematopoiesis and immune cell activity by transmitting signals resulting from cytokine or growth factor-receptor interactions on the cellular membrane. This helps prevent hair cell death, promotes new hair growth, and reduces the redness and itchiness associated with skin infections.

Take Tofatas Ointment as prescribed by the physician. Tofatas Ointment may cause certain side effects such as excessive hair growth, headache, skin irritation, itching, rashes, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue.
