Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml is used in the treatment of Breast Cancer and Stomach Cancer. The detailed uses of Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml are as follows:

• HER2-Positive Breast Cancer: Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml is used in the treatment of breast cancer and used alone or with other agents to slow disease progression.
• HER2-Positive Gastric and Gastroesophageal Junction Cancer: Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml is used in treatment of HER2-Positive Gastric and Gastroesophageal Junction Cancer or in combination with chemotherapy for advanced or metastatic cases.

Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml contains Trastuzumab, which is used for treating patients with HER2-positive breast cancer and HER2-positive metastatic gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma. This medicine works by inhibiting the excess production of a human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein in the mammalian cells. This causes inhibition of the cancer cell growth and, finally, initiation of programmed cell death.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml will be administered in a hospital setting under the supervision of a physician qualified by training and experience to administer cancer chemotherapeutic agents.
• Do not self-administer.

Inform your doctor if you have any lung problems, cardiovascular conditions or liver/kidney disease, as it can cause adverse effects. Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml may cause left ventricular ejection fraction, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary toxicity, exacerbations of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia, and hypersensitivity reactions during the treatment. Hence, careful observation should be performed for any reactions in the patient. Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml may cause embryo-fetal toxicity. Hence, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, inform your doctor beforehand. Breastfeeding should be discontinued in nursing mothers during the treatment. Trasturel 375 mg Injection 18 ml is not recommended for use in children as the safety and efficacy are not established.
