Triben-B Skin Cream is used to treat fungal infections, such as ringworm of the foot (tinea pedis or athlete's foot), ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris or jock itch), and ringworm of the body (tinea corporis). Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.  Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin. 

Triben-B Skin Cream is composed of two medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal) and Beclomethasone dipropionate (steroid). Clotrimazole stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Beclomethasone dipropionate belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Thereby, Triben-B Skin Cream helps treat fungal infections.

Triben-B Skin Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina, rinse with cold water. Triben-B Skin Cream may cause common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Beclomethasone dipropionate, or any other medications. Do not cover with a dressing or bandage on the affected area since it increases the risk of side effects. Please check with your doctor before using Triben-B Skin Cream if you have adrenal gland problems, cataracts or glaucoma, liver disease, and other skin infections. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Triben-B Skin Cream.

Before using Triben-B Skin Cream, let your doctor know if have a history of liver diseases, adrenal gland problems, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes or allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Beclomethasone, other steroid medicines or antifungals. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Triben-B Skin Cream is for external use only, so avoid its contact with the eyes, mouth, or vagina. Notify the doctor if there is no improvement after one week of treatment for tinea cruris or tinea corporis, or after two weeks for tinea pedis. When using Triben-B Skin Cream in the groin area, use Triben-B Skin Cream for two weeks only. Prolonged use of Triben-B Skin Cream may cause hormonal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia (increased blood sugar level), and glucosuria (high sugar in urine) in some patients.
