Vasuros-A Capsule is used to prevent myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke or peripheral vascular disease. It is also used to lower abnormally elevated cholesterol or fat levels (hyperlipidaemia or dyslipidaemia) in the body. It contains Rosuvastatin and Aspirin, which lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Also, it decreases the formation of blood clots by preventing the platelets from clubbing together. It may cause common side effects such as increased bleeding tendency, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, constipation, muscle pain, weakness, dizziness and indigestion. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Vasuros-A Capsule

Vasuros-A Capsule is used for the prevention of heart attack and stroke. A heart attack generally refers to a blocked flow of blood to the heart due to the blockage of the arteries. The blockage is most often a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).

Vasuros-A Capsule is composed of rosuvastatin and aspirin. This medicine reduces the bad cholesterol (also known as low-density lipoproteins or LDL), and triglycerides (TG). It also collectively prevents the formation of clots in the blood vessels. Together, Vasuros-A Capsule helps to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related chest pain (angina).

In some cases, you may experience headache, ankle swelling (oedema), dark urine, muscle weakness, slow heart rate, dizziness, and nausea. Most of these side effects of Vasuros-A Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Take Vasuros-A Capsule with or without food. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take your medicine based on your medical condition. Try not to stop taking this medicine on your own. Do not chew, break, or crush the medicine.

Rosuvastatin lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet action. It decreases the formation of blood clots by preventing the platelets from clubbing together. Aspirin acts as a blood-thinning or anti-platelet agent in a low dose (about 75 mg) to prevent heart attack and stroke. Vasuros-A Capsule helps in the free flow of blood, thereby preventing a heart attack, stroke and other peripheral vascular diseases.

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. • Keep out of sight and reach of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of Vasuros-A Capsule

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Vasuros-A Capsule as it may cause overdose. If you suspect you have taken overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

  • Avoid taking Vasuros-A Capsule if you are allergic to Vasuros-A Capsule or any other components present in it.
  • Before taking Vasuros-A Capsule, let your doctor know if you have a history of liver and kidney diseases or allergic reactions to aspirin and rosuvastatin.
  • If you are at risk of internal bleeding (bleeding inside any tissues, organs or joints of your body), a recent injury/surgery or a planned surgery (including dental) in the next few days, coagulation disorders, and active bleeding issues (peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), please inform your doctor before starting the medicine. 
  • The doctor might ask you to stop taking Vasuros-A Capsule a few days before surgery since it can cause an increased risk of bleeding during surgery.

  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness while using Vasuros-A Capsule. 
  • Please do not consume alcohol since it may worsen the side effects like dizziness and increased blood pressure. 
  • Vasuros-A Capsule is not recommended for use in children under 16 years.
