Vensan 50mg Tablet ER is used to treat a major depressive disorder (depression). Major depressive disorder, also known as clinical depression, is a mental health disorder characterised by a persistent and intense feeling of sadness for an extended duration of time.

Vensan 50mg Tablet ER contains desvenlafaxine, which increases the levels of certain chemical messengers (serotonin and norepinephrine) in the brain. Thereby, it helps improve mood.

Take Vensan 50mg Tablet ER as prescribed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience side effects such as nausea, dizziness, sleep problems, constipation, sleepiness, loss of appetite, and anxiety. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

What if I have taken an overdose of Vensan 50mg Tablet ER

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Vensan 50mg Tablet ER as it may cause serious side effects. The symptoms of overdose include drowsiness, coma, seizures, vomiting, agitation, hallucinations, fever, sweating, severe muscle stiffness or twitching, confusion, fast heartbeat, shivering, loss of coordination, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea. If you suspect you have taken an overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.
