About Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's

Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's is used for the long-term treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchial tube lining). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty in breathing.

Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's is a combination of three drugs: Fluticasone furoate (corticosteroid), Umeclidinium (anticholinergic) and Vilanterol (long-acting beta-agonist). Together, they work by relaxing and opening air passages in the lungs. Thus, it makes breathing easier.

Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's is for inhalation only. Use Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's as advised by your doctor. You are advised to use Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's for as long as your doctor has advised it based on your medical condition. Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's may cause common side effects such as common cold, sore, raised patches in the throat or mouth caused by a fungal infection (thrush), hoarseness, cough, headache, back pain, painful and frequent urination, and itchy, runny or blocked nose. Most of these side effects of Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Vilanterol, Fluticasone furoate, Umeclidinium or any other ingredients in Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's, tell your doctor. If you have severe milk protein or a lactose allergy, inform your doctor. Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's may cause blurred vision and headaches. Therefore, use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's affects you. What if I have taken an overdose of Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's may include hypercorticism, dry mouth, visual accommodation disturbances, tachycardia, angina, hypertension or hypotension, tachycardia with rates up to 200 beats/min, arrhythmias, QTc prolongation, nervousness, headache, tremor, seizures, muscle cramps, dry mouth, palpitation, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, malaise, insomnia, hyperglycaemia, hypokalemia and metabolic acidosis. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience these symptoms or think you might have taken too much.

Drug Warnings

If you are allergic to Umeclidinium, Fluticasone furoate, Vilanterol or any other ingredients in Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's, tell your doctor. If you have severe milk protein or a lactose allergy, inform your doctor. When Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's is used for long-term treatment, you may be at risk of weak bones (osteoporosis; increased risk of broken bones) and breaking a bone (bone fractures). Therefore, take extra care to avoid any injury, especially falls. Avoid coming into contact with people who have chicken pox or measles while taking Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's. If you are exposed, tell your doctor immediately. Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's may cause eye problems. If you experience any eye problems while using Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's, contact your doctor right away. Also, you should have regular eye check-ups. Do not take more than the recommended dose as it may cause an overdose, resulting in symptoms such as dry mouth, feeling shaky, blurred vision, headache or feeling that your heart is beating faster than usual.

  • Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to strengthen your breathing muscles and boost your immune system.
  • Avoid foods such as cabbage, beans, garlic, onions, shrimp, pickled food, dried fruits, fried foods, carbonated drinks, wine, bottled lemon, and lime juice, as they may worsen asthma symptoms.
  • Do meditation, deep breathing, regular exercise, and try progressive muscle relaxation techniques to get relief from stress and reduce the risk of an asthma attack.
  • Quit smoking as it may reduce the effectiveness of the Vilor-FU 100 Capsule 15's and irritate the lungs, worsening breathing problems.
  • Learning breathing exercises will help you move more air in and out of your lungs.
